Essex High School, Library Addition

Originally intended to be a one-story library addition to Essex High School, unsuitable soils necessitated a change in plans. This modern building design features a dramatic two-story inclined, curved curtain wall of glass that projects a contemporary image for the school. Additional space is shelled for later development, and is currently filled-in, providing huge cost savings to be applied for future development. This project proves that advanced building design can be accomplished within realistic budget parameters.
